Burgundy Moor Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In moorlands, and In bogs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
