Emerald Flame Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In heathlands, In marshes, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is overwhelmingly delicate; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
