Silvervine

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 172 feet (52.4 meters) and growing as high as 64 feet (19.5 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 22 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.3 feet (38 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The sickle shaped, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are silver with deep red tips, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thousands of large blue flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of tiny seed pods.
