Clinging Conifer

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 27 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several slender, straight stems covered in delicate, ridged, light brown bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, very narrow and elongated, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are aquamarine and blood red, delicate and smooth.

It produces handfuls of medium-sized, subtle purple flowers with long, narrow petals. They are hardy and have a weak scent that smells like rainy days. In early winter it forms medium-sizedyellow seed pods.
