Silvergrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are resilient and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, silver puff.

During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few medium-sized grains.

It commonly grows in large patches.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It is difficult to cut through.
