Magenta Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 65 feet (19.8 meters) tall. The wispy stem is copper, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid beige spines. The smooth-edged, asymmetrical leaves are magenta on the sides and azure at the center. Small amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are robust, and do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with brown petals on the lower layer and deep yellow petals decorated with turquoise dots on the inner layer. The central disk is grey, grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 12 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like a newborn baby.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the cyan flesh is slimy, and the bronze sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
