Crimson Thornsucculent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 49 feet (14.9 meters) tall. The narrow stem is brown, and is covered in large amounts of fine, dark brown, hair-like spines. The lumpy leaves are blood red and orange. Thick bunches of them grow on thick, white or olive branches that are short stubs. The leaves are tough, but do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with cream petals and an aquamarine central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has a powerful scent that smells like coffee.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the azure flesh is smooth, and the green sap is thin.

It is suitable for making paper
