This lime green moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, In heathlands, and In rainforests.
It is large, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is slightly delicate.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
