Cinnamonberry Tree

This big fruit tree grows up to 25 feet (7.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 65 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, wavy trunk covered in cracked, gray bark, and inside, the very dense wood is mahogany-coloured.

The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with thick bunches of giant, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are cream on the edges and purple at the center.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of giant, florescent purple blossoms with triangular shaped petals. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like cinnamon.

In late autumn it produces , finger-like fruit. The soft blood red skin is delicate and inedible, and the soft brown flesh is savoury and very dry. The beige seeds are small and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
