Bluefruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large fruit tree grows up to 22 feet (6.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 36 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, wonky trunk covered in thin, knobbly, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale yellow.

The sparse amount of branches are short stubs and are covered with small amounts of miniature, asymmetrical leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid blue with slate lines.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of giant, ashy purple blossoms with circular petals. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like chocolate.

In mid-summer it produces , long, curved fruit. The fuzzy sky blue skin is stretchy and bland, and the soft white flesh is bitter and juicy. The florescent yellow seeds are small and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is suitable for making strong rope
