Silverberry
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This enormous shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for around 81 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous flexible, straight stems covered in rough, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is brown.
The branches are long and thin that and are covered with small bunches of large, thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in hazel, turquoise and brown varieties, delicate and leathery.
It produces a thick sheet of small, silver flowers with 3 cylindrical shaped petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like rotting meat. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedgrey, winged seeds that float and land far away.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It can flourish even in standing water.
