Clinging Magenta?

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 18 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a narrow, curved trunk covered in smooth, dark brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.

The small clumps of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of large, slender, pointed leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are magenta on the sides and gentle purple at the center.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of tiny, sky blue blossoms with fan-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like fermented fruit.

In mid-summer it produces , pleated fruit. The crispy red skin is stretchy and sweet and spicy, and the soft magenta flesh is savoury and syrupy. The gold seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
