Violetvine

This short vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 220 feet (67.1 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 6 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are soft and flexible.

The stiff, pointed, soft leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are cyan at the bottom and violet with dull yellow lines at the top, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a handful of small turquoise flowers.
