Crimson Succulent

This huge leaf succulent grows up to 174 feet (53.0 meters) tall. The perforated stem is gold and pastel red, and is dotted with small brown spines. The slender leaves are amber on the edges and blood red at the center. Copious amounts of them grow on flat, yellow branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are delicate, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of blue, grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like apple.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the silver flesh is leathery, and the red sap is thin.
