Bluepetal

This short leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The pleated stem is orange, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid olive spines. The smooth-edged, sickle shaped leaves are found in caramel, grey and sky blue varieties. Small amounts of them grow from the base in a loosely patterned way. The leaves are resistant, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 19 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are either gold or sky blue, with a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 17 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a weak scent that smells like pine needles.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the magenta flesh is soft, and the violet sap is thin.
