Turquoise Petal Bush

This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 22 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous thick, slanted stems covered in thin, rough, yellow bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, sickle shaped, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of brown that gradient shifts to dark grey at the top, robust and leathery.

In early summer it produces a thick sheet of giant, turquoise flowers with circular petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like petrol.
