Flower type: Annual (Sheds its leaves in winter)This huge flower grows up to 11.9 feet (3.6 meters) tall. Its pink stem is wispy, and the huge, brown leaves are thin with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
4 to 9 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 35 cm (13.8 inches) wide, with solid indigo petals decorated with cyan dots and a amber central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 petals. They are hardy.
It has the faintest scent that smells like an ocean breeze, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
