Orange Twistvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 11 feet (3.4 meters)0.

It takes 7 months for the orange stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.

The spear shaped, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are light blue on the sides and cream at the center, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thick bunches of large intense green flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny berries.

It is suitable for making paper
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is often home to a particular bird species.
