Crimson vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 22 feet (6.7 meters) and growing as high as 288 feet (87.8 meters).
It takes 3 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and fuzzy.
The 5 pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are crimson at the bottom and subtle yellow with dark grey edges at the top, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the vine produces bunches of large olive flowers.
