Silverwood

This huge tree grows up to 124 meters (406.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 333 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in knobbly, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is silver.

The tangled mess of branches are very short and thick and are covered with very large amounts of clammy, huge, finger-like leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are ashy yellow and olive.

In late summer it forms small, brown, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
