Emerald

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 50 feet (15.2 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is emerald, and is covered in dozens of flexible sky blue spines. The serrated-edged, fan-like leaves are aquamarine on the sides and lilac at the center. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a spiral pattern. The leaves are pliable, and do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 21 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid light brown petals and a magenta central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is shaped like a star with 53 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like an ocean breeze.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the crimson flesh is waxy, and the orange sap is thin.
