Blue?Tree

This massive fruit tree grows up to 46 feet (14.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 28 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in waxy, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is white.

The tangled mess of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with small amounts of large, wide leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are yellow on the edges and sky blue at the center.

In early spring, it produces dozens of giant, grey blossoms with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a weak scent that smells like wet dog.

In early winter it produces large, oblong fruit. The fuzzy bronze skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft aquamarine flesh is salty and very juicy. The beige seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
