Copper-colored

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 193 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several branched, angular stems covered in fine, waxy, brown bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, thin, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either green or aquamarine, with pink streaks, delicate and smooth.

In late summer it produces hundreds of medium-sized, orange flowers with 9 teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like a man.
