Moss type: MossThis lime green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely light; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for making paper
It can survive a very long time without water.
