Embermoss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, and In marshes.
It is big, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly delicate; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
