Aquamarine Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 50 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, wonky trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, silver bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale brown-grey.

The sparse amount of branches are very long and slender and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, broad, flat leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are generally aquamarine.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of medium-sized, vivid yellow blossoms with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like bonfire smoke.

In early winter it produces , long, narrow fruit. The clammy vivid yellow skin is stretchy and inedible, and the soft magenta flesh is spicy and sticky. The bold orange seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
