Vinefruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This big fruit tree grows up to 27 feet (8.2 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 40 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, crooked trunk covered in thin, ridged, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is white.
The small bunches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, spear shaped leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are cyan and cream.
In early spring, it produces several giant, grey blossoms with circular petals. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like fish.
In early summer it produces , 3 pointed fruit. The waxy gold skin is tough and sweet, and the slightly crunchy drab blue flesh is salty and juicy. The lime seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
It commonly grows in large patches.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
