Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs, In damp forests, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely rigid; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
