Spinebloom

This small leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The wide stem is pink-red, and is covered in hundreds of fine, brown, hair-like spines. The bubbly leaves are cyan and cream. Small amounts of them grow on very thick, moss green branches that are very short and thick. The leaves are robust, but do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid caramel petals decorated with yellow dots and a muted orange central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 12 petals. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like fruity.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the sky blue flesh is leathery, and the blood red sap is thin.
