Bloodwood Olive Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This enormous fruit tree grows up to 67 feet (20.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 46 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in hard, rough, brown-green bark, and inside, the very hard wood is burgundy.

The numerous branches are long and thick and are covered with large amounts of giant, thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are blood red on the edges and brown at the center.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, turquoise blossoms with cylindrical shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotting meat.

In mid-summer it produces , needle-like fruit. The smooth cyan skin is stretchy and edible when boiled; it is spicy and salty, and the soft bronze flesh is salty and very dry. The olive seed is large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

Before maturity, it can grow 0 per day.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
