Carmel Moss Cactus

This average-sized cactus grows up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 4 thin stems. Each stem is brown, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid drab red spines. The spherical body is moss green, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid drab red spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid washed-out purple petals decorated with bronze lines and a caramel central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 53 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like old books.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the turquoise flesh is rubbery, and the bronze sap is thin.
