Bronze

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small caudiciform grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is gray, and is covered in thousands of fine, black, hair-like spines. The thick, gnarled, hazel trunk can grow to as much as 9 feet (2.7 meters) in diameter. Its gray-green branches are short and thick.

The rounded-edged, very thick leaves are bronze on the edges and vivid green at the center. They are rigid, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with amber petals and an aquamarine central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like coffee.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the caramel flesh is rough, and the sky blue sap is thin.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
