Bronze

This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 71 feet (21.6 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in many flexible dark grey spines. The bulbous, bronze trunk can grow to as much as 71 feet (21.6 meters) in diameter. Its orange branches are tall, rigid and upright.

The smooth-edged, thick leaves are generally violet. They are resistant, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 8 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with amber petals and an aquamarine central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 8 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like sweat.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the slate flesh is rubbery, and the copper sap is thin.
