Bronze Moss

This bronze moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely resilient; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
