This copper moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In heathlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It comes in 15 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
All parts of the vine are edible.
