Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On trees.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very sturdy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
