Speckled

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 180 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many slender, straight stems covered in paper-thin, knobbly, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy with thousands of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of large, fan-like, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are lime and beige, light and leathery.

In early spring it produces bunches of small, lilac flowers with long, tapering petals. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like marzipan.
