Crimson Cactus

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 33 feet (10.1 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 5 perforated stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is quick growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with peach petals on the lower layer and gold petals decorated with orange dots on the inner layer. The central disk is azure grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 17 widely spaced narrow petals. It has an intense scent that smells like marzipan.

The cactus's skin is thick, the brilliant red flesh is waxy, and the brilliant red sap is thin.
