Caramel Bluebell

This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its lime green stems grow in bunches of 4 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the tiny, caramel leaves are fan-like with ripped edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

2 to 6 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with brilliant blue petals on the lower layer and sky blue petals decorated with caramel dots on the inner layer. The central disk is caramel. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 petals. They detach easily.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like warm cookies, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
