Burgundy Creeper
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short creeper is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 12 feet (3.7 meters) and growing as high as 30 feet (9.1 meters).
It takes 3 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and gnarled.
The very thick, waxy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are cyan and pink, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of large black flowers.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
