Magenta Grass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This big, magenta grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The pleated stalks grow in large clumps that are resistant.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, yellow puff.
During the early autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
The grass is savoury and slightly toxic and while grains are bitter and non-toxic.
