Magenta

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its magenta stem is very thick and splits into numerous branching stems at the base, and the giant, lime green leaves are spear shaped with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Each stem splits 4 to 6 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are generally lime; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of 47 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like perfume, and it has an average amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.


It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
