Blue Tear Moss

This blue moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In heathlands, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly hardy.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.
