Blackberry

This enormous shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for around 19 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, curved stems covered in thick, smooth, black bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are long and thin that and are covered with handfuls of large, circular, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are cream and lime, light and leathery.

In early spring it produces dozens of giant, bright red flowers with finger-like petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like alcohol.
