Emerald

This moss green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In marshes, and In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very flimsy.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
