Copperflower

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This massive flower grows up to 14.5 feet (4.4 meters) tall. Its pink-red stem is thick and splits into 9 branching stems at the top, and the tiny, yellow or purple leaves are light orange-yellow on the underside and are 3 pointed with toothed edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 21 cm (8.3 inches) wide, with petals that are pale orange at the sides and brown at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 27 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like alcohol, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
