Caramel Moss

This caramel or grey moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On rotten logs, and In rainforests.
It is big, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly hardy.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.

It is suitable for making paper
It is often home to a particular bird species.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
