Gray Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On trees, In rainy mountain ranges, and In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is overwhelmingly flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
