Magenta

This huge flower grows up to 16.3 feet (5.0 meters) tall. Its green stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, gray-green leaves are long, tapering with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

6 to 12 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 30 cm (11.8 inches) wide, with petals that are magenta in the center, bronze in the middle and silver at the edges. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has an intense scent that smells like wet dog, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind and is ignored by most insect species.
