Violet Creeper

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is very thick, and the giant, burgundy leaves are black on the underside and are kidney-shaped with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with violet petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of 17 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. They fall easily.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like coffee, and it has an average amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.

It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
